I'm Too Old For This
I had a dream about Freddy Krueger this morning. He was stalking me through a number of crumbling backyards in Southern Virginia, over rotten fences, through ivy-choked alleyways and over cobblestones slick with condensation.
Then I woke up, went to the bathroom and laid there trying not to dream about Freddy Krueger again. Have you even tried that since you became an adult? Man, it's STILL hard ...

1, 2, Freddy's coming for you! Wow, I don't think I've ever actually had a nightmare about Freddy. Nightmares about zombies and other things that stuck with me from movies, but not him. My nightmares about squid and octopi were always the worst as a kid (which began after seeing the giant squid under glass on a visit to the Natural History Museum). Just the thought of those nightmares still makes me shudder. I remember having the same problems you were having with Freddy, how can you relax and go back to sleep when those tentacles are waiting for you on the other side?
My legs never seem to work in those nightmares. It feels like I'm running through quicksand, or else my legs are asleep and I keep falling down.
I guess from now on I'll be dreaming about cave-dwelling humanoids tearing my guts out.

I hear you on this. I just finished reading 'Dracula' and it made some f'ed up dreams when I went to bed just after a freaky part.
humm....well im in san francisco and it is the tail end (no pun intended) of Burning Man.. sooo if youve ever seen drag queens coming of a week of X in the desert ... stumbling about as you sip your morning coffee.. well Freddy aint that scary after all!
if it makes you feel any better I am 27 years old and still have nightmares about Michael Meyers and I didn't even see Halloween till I was 19.
Hes real you better watch out Ive been having nightmares about him and waking up with scratches I got in my dreams
